Churachandpur, June 5, 2026 – In celebration of World Environment Day, Rayburn High School organized a Tree Plantation Drive titled “Forest of Hope” at the Reformed School of Theology (ReST), Mata. With the theme “Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future,” the initiative highlighted the school’s commitment to climate action and environmental education.

Led by the Middle & Secondary Science Department, Class X students, along with their teachers, planted 100 saplings across the ReST campus. The programme featured an invocation by Sir Lalpu Hangsing, Academic Dean, ReST, and concluded with the Environment Day Pledge.

The drive fostered teamwork, hands-on learning, and awareness of afforestation’s role in combating climate change. Rayburn High School expressed gratitude to the ReST faculty and staff for their support in making the event a success.
The “Forest of Hope” stands as a living symbol of student-led climate responsibility and a greener future.
