Pedagogy
The pedagogy at the foundational stage is largely play-based, experiential learning that is inquiry and Discovery. Concrete materials such as toys, puzzles and manipulatives etc. comprise most of the content to provide knowledge and understanding of the relevant concept. Classrooms and outdoor environments are conceded as the most appropriate spaces for exploration. Children's literature is seen as an important source for language and literacy development. The pedagogy emphasizes on the nurturing caring relationships between the teacher and the children.
