On 16th November 2019, Integrated Mountain Initiative organised a programme on the topic “Young People for Climate Action” at Lalpuithuaii Foundation School, Bungmual.
Students were grouped into four where they discussed on the impact of climate change in our town and the surrounding areas and come up with measures to tackle the dying streams, deforestation and menace of plastic in our town.
Each participant was challenged to commit to improving the climatic condition of the town. Each one resolved to contribute towards the society and its environmental needs. Innovative and practical ways to take up measures were suggested and each one was ready to cooperate.
Young People for Climate Action was encouraged with the aim to fervently tackle the dying state of our streams and rivers specifically.
