Our school, Rayburn High School observed a programme for an Exhortation-cum-Pastoral prayer for the AISSCE & AISSE 2020 candidates at Rayburn Chapel on the 8th February, 2020 at 1:00 pm. This year, the candidates numbered to 538 in total AISSE (Cl-X)-228, AISSCE (Cl-XII/Sc)-123 and AISSCE (Cl-XII/Arts)-187.
The programme was hosted by Miss Ningthianmuan and the Vice-Principal along with special invitees graced the programme. The programme commenced with a session of guiding students with a session of guiding students with instructions regarding the board examination, taken up by the Academic Supervisor (Sir MH). These was a keynote address delivered right after it by the respected Vice-Principal (Sir PM). Appreciation gifts were handed out to the esteemed guests for the invaluable support and grace. Full attendance awards were also awarded to students which was facilitated by Miss Nemy, Counsellor.
The emotional arrangement on farewell speeches and valedictory speech were carried out smoothly. Sarah Siamthianhoih from Cl-XI bid a farewell to the outgoing students on behalf of the school. Chingbiakngaih (Cl-XII) rendered a nostalgic number with a soulful performance. To end that area of farewell biddings, Mary Nemzoukim Vaiphei (Cl-X) and Gabriel Dousienlun Samte (Cl-XII) took their respective time, reminding on their experiences in the school and offered their best wishes for the school while they also assured to give their best in the upcoming examination to uphold the reputation of the school.
The most important reason for the observance of the programme was carried out by Miss Dr Niangsanching, Academic Dean, GBC who enthusiastically delivered an exhortation speech. She stressed on the three lesson of life sequence; A-Attitude, B-Belief, C-Choice and their significance in the life of students and their future endeavor. Pastor K. Zamkhansuan, PCI(R) offered prayer for the candidates at the end of the programme.
The formal session in the chapel was followed by a deliberate display of love in the form of community dinner. Full with exhortation and motivation, the students as well as the staff left the school with a hearty and joyful sound belly. All praises to the governing body and the Vice-principal in particular towards his endless support and good will for the school.
