WSPD – 2019 was observed for 2 days (9th-10th September) with the theme “Working Together to Prevent Suicide”. It was organized mainly for classes X, XI and XII students.
Students expressed themselves through poetry, painting and slogan writing competitions on the theme – Let’s Choose Life.
In observance of the day a formal event was held in the chapel. Dr. Vumchinpau Tonsing, CMO, Churachandpur, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. The youth collective NEST shared their research and data on suicide in Lamka. And Mr. Thangkhansiam Naulak of Go Grace Missions delivered the keynote address.
Through the event, suicide awareness was spread amongst the students. Each student pledged to seek help, support others and value their life.
