Report: INTER-SCHOOL QUIZ AND PAINTING COMPETITIONS

Rayburn High School (RHS) students participated in an inter-school quiz and painting competition organized by the NIELIT Churachandpur Extension Centre, MEITY, GOI, on August 2, 2025. The event, held at the NIELIT center in Tuibong, Churachandpur, aimed to promote Cyber Security Awareness.
COMPETITION DETAILS
The competitions were held with the following themes:
• Quiz Competition: Focused on IT basics, cyber safety, and safe social media practices.
• Painting Competition: Centered on “Protecting Nature - The Impact of Deforestation” and “A World Without Pollution.”
A total of eight schools participated. From Rayburn High School, fourteen students from classes III to VI competed in the painting competition, guided by Sir KD and Ma’am DN. A team of three students from classes VII to X, guided by Sir PS, represented the school in the quiz competition.
The competitions began at 9:00 a.m. and concluded at 12:00 p.m.
AWARD AND CLOSING CEREMONY
The award and closing ceremony took place at 2:00 p.m. The event was honored by the presence of Shri Prakhar Pandey (IPS), SP, Churachandpur, as the Chief Guest, and Shri Pauchungnung Vaiphei, Assoc. Prof., Dept. of Pol. Sc., Churachandpur College, as the President.
RAYBURN HIGH SCHOOL SUCCESS
The Rayburn High School quiz team secured first place in the competition, winning a certificate and a cash prize of `5,000. The winning team members were:
• Vakhoizing (Class X/A/19)
• Lamnunthem Thangniang (Class IX/A/15)
• Justin Limgoulen Haokip (Class VIII/A/31)
The event was a valuable learning experience for the students, providing them with greater exposure to critical topics like cybercrime, social media safety, and environmental protection.
We hope that Rayburn High School continues to excel in future competitions.
